Move towards smartphone

Smartphones are gaining in market share over low-end phones. Smartphones have advanced features like full web browsing, push email, GPS, high resolution camera, video recording, streaming and social sites linkup. Some of the smartphones that have capture the imagination are RIM's BlackBerry models, Nokia's E Series phones and the Apple iPhone. The trend towards in increasing graph of smartphones is due to the fact that high speed connectivity has become increasing available which makes advanced uses of the phone quite possible. Using a suitably equipped smartphone it is now possible to upload images and stream videos to online content sharing site quite easily. This has truly made the smartphones the most effective communication medium. However the most important requirements that will shape the smartphone market are how well the phone can be used in the enterprise. RIM - the makers of BlackBerry smartphones have a smartphone only lineup and Apple and Google are also following suit in what is expected of them to be smartphone-only lineups. The viability of this business model may at some point tilt the balance in favor of smartphones.
